Interview is one of the important key when we want to achieve our success. This is the first step in helping us getting the career we want. During an interview, you have no more than four minutes to prove you are a friendly, intelligent, and capable person.

In fact, a study done by Professor Frank Bernieri, of Oregon State University, and Tricia Prickett, one of Bernieri’s students, found that the most critical impressions are made within the first 15 to 30 seconds. So, before you can answer a single question, your entrance, handshake, and initial body language may have already decided the outcome. Kinesics, the study and interpretation of body language, facial expressions, and gestures was first developed in 1952 by Dr. Ray Birdwhistell. More recently, Allan and Barbara Pease, the authors of The Definitive Book of Body Language wrote that “…body language accounts for 60-80% of the impact made around a negotiating table.”

Using the following 10 tips can ensure your non-verbal communication will create a great first impression and get you the job you want.

1. Use persuasive and uplifting language in your resume

Besides getting you the interview, adjectives such as proven, adventurous, self-confident, independent, and persistent, create a favorable mindset in the reader. This is called the Primacy Effect. Your interviewer, after reviewing your resume, will unconsciously associate these positive traits with you, during that first meeting. Consider using a professional resume writer who knows how to use the Primacy Effect for you!

2. Present a calm, organized appearance

Wear appropriate business attire under an unbuttoned coat and carry a slim briefcase or folder. An unbuttoned coat suggests that you have an efficient and open personality. And a slim briefcase shows that you focus on the important top-level details and get things done on schedule.

3. Enter the office without hesitation

Whether the office door is open or closed, enter the office in one smooth continuous motion, without slowing your stride or shuffling your steps at the door. A steady stride indicates that you are accustomed to walking confidently into meetings and business offices. It also shows that you are interested in what you are doing and don’t waste time.

4. Shake hands calmly and directly

Deliberately put down your folder, briefcase, or coat and immediately shake hands with your interviewer. Avoid shaking hands over a desk, which reduces your perceived status, by stepping to the left side of the desk. Exert the same hand grip pressure that you receive. And try to keep your palm in a vertical position, so that neither hand is on top. A palm-up position can make you seem submissive whereas a palm-down position can make you seem overly aggressive. During an initial meeting, a vertical palm communicates equality and creates instant rapport.

5. When you sit, angle your body or chair to 45 degrees relative to the interviewer

Sitting directly across a table or desk is generally seen as competitive or defensive. By slightly turning your body to the side, you signal a cooperative attitude throughout the discussion.

6. Don’t cross your arms or legs

Patagonia has become synonymous with ‘giant’ discoveries of the prehistoric world. Dinosaurs that dwarf their contemporaries are found here frequently and paleontologists are flocking to the region to unearth them.

Giganotosaurus, the largest carnivorous dinosaur at 45-feet-long, was dug up in this region along with a number of other massive Sauropods and Titanosaurs (herbivorous dinosaurs).

What Is The Largest Dinosaur Ever Found?

At the moment there are three dinosaurs, which are contenders for the largest dinosaur ever found. Incredibly all three were found in the Patagonian region sparking revelations that the Titanosaurids roamed the earth for a lot longer than previously thought.

Titanosaurs are the largest recorded creatures to have ever walked the earth.

Belonging to a branch of the Sauropod family these giants were large, long-necked plant eaters that walked on four feet and flourished in the southern latitudes. They had relatively small heads compared to other Sauropods and their backbones were not hollowed out like the rest of this family. Many paleontologists believe this species moved in herds and fossilized remains show an armored, scaled skin covering their bodies. All of the largest dinosaurs on record belong to this species.

Before the relatively recent discoveries in South America scientists had believed this species died out before the mass extinction of their smaller counterparts. Now they have evidence that this large family group survived in Patagonia up until the end of the Cretaceous period. They were the most widely distributed dinosaurs on the planet.

Argentinosaurus

The first of the big three to be discovered, the 115 feet long, 100 ton Argentinosaurus was a heavy hitter in the Cretaceous period about 85 million years ago. An herbivorous animal it survived on plants and used its extraordinarily long neck to reach juicy foliage.

Pieces of Argentinosaurus were first unearthed in 1988 by a farmer named Guillermo Heredia in Argentina. All in all, about 10 percent of the skeleton was recovered, the vertebra being the largest ever found at 5 feet high.

Puertasaurus

In 2001 excavation began on the fossilized remains of another giant Titanosaur discovered by fossil hunters Pablo Puerta and Santiago Reuil in Argentina’s Santa Cruz Province. This dinosaur was 115-131 feet long and weighed an astonishing 88-110 tons. About 70 million years old, the neck, back and tailbones were found with large fossilized logs, suggesting this region was a vast forest in prehistoric days.

Paleontologist Fernando Novas announced this important find on July 21st 2006.

Futalognkosaurus

An incredible discovery, Futalognkosaurus dukei, is the most complete Titanosaur skeleton ever found. Scientists believe this dinosaur is a completely new species of Titanosaur, its unique neck structure having never been seen before.

This giant measures about 105 feet long with the neck stretching a whopping 56 feet. It lived some 88 million years ago, with the bones first unearthed in 2000 at Lake Barreales in Argentina.

Comparisons

All three of these giants belong to the same family and lived during the same time period. Scientists are unable to determine which dinosaur may have been the biggest as bones discovered from the creatures weren’t all the same. For Puertasaurus only a few vertebrae were found and no limb bones were discovered at the Futalognkosaurus site. So unless further fossils are unearthed they will never be able to measure with any degree of accuracy, which is the biggest fossil of them all.

When it comes to species, though, there is a clear and definite answer as to who is the largest. The Titanosaurs named after the mythological Greek Titans are number one.

Four o’clock flowers are trumpet shaped, about an inch across at the end and about two inches long. They open in the evening and wilt the next morning. Four o’clocks are leafy, shrublike, multi-branched perennials which bloom throughout summer.

The plants are erect and spreading, 2-3 ft tall and just as wide. They have numerous branches and opposite, pointed leaves 2-4 in long. The fragrant flowers are borne singly or in clusters, and can be red, magenta, pink, yellow or white, sometimes with more than one color on the same plant.

Like Petunia, bicolored flowers can also be grown. The plants continue to produce new flowers from late spring untill fall. Four o’clocks have large, black carrot shaped tubers that can be a foot or more long. In warm regions, the roots can weigh up to 18 kg or more.
